Rolling Over

Lyra rolled over today! She was on her tummy one second and the next she was on her back. I think she thought it was fun. She had a big smile on her face. She did it over and over again. Enough that I could even video tape her. Arya wouldn't ever roll over when I had a video camera in hand, she always waited until I put it down.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

We have had quite a few windy days lately, so Mike and Arya decided to get out to the park an fly their new dragon kite. It took a couple of tries to get it up, but once it was up it was flying high. Arya even held the kite string for a while and kept it up in the air. Not as much can be said for Mike, he landed the kite in a tree. Lyra and I sat and watched as Father and Daughter had a great time flying their new kite.

Cousins

Mackenzie and Sophia really like their new baby cousin, Lyra. Sophia will come over and talk to her lots throughout the day and Mackenzie always checks on her when she gets in from school. They like to play with her and make her smile. I am sure Lyra will love chasing after them when she gets bigger.

New Swingset

We decided to get a new swingset for the girls and off we went to Costco to get the one they carry each spring. Some friends took our old one and as soon as it was gone Arya told her daddy that she, "needed a new one." Mike had the whole week off, because his family came to visit. Mike and his dad spent parts of 4 days puting it together. They did a fabulous job, Arya was thrilled and has wanted to play on it all the time. It is a good thing next week is suppose to be nice, we will be spending alot of time in the back yard.

The Zoo

We went to the Zoo on Wednesday. Arya got to show her Grandparents some of her favorite animals. She showed them the griaffes, her favorite, the stingrays, the monkeys and some others. We didn't stay very long, it was hot that day, it got up to 90 degrees. I love having a membership, then I don't feel bad if we only stay an hour or two.

The Ostrich Festival

We went to the Ostrich Festival this weekend. This is the 3rd time Arya has been, she likes it better each year. This time Arya got to bring along her baby sister, Lyra, who slept almost the whole time, her aunt, Meaghan and her grandma and grandpa Bovich.
We saw the ostrich races and Arya's favorite, the pig races, new this year. Arya also rode on a camel with her aunt. And another favorite of Arya's is the Carousel, Arya picked to ride on an ostrich. It was a great festival

Lyra 2 Months Old!

Lyra is now 2 months old. She just gets cuter and cuter everyday. She is also getting very big! She weights 11lbs. 9oz. and is 23 1/2 inches long. She is very full of smiles these days. Her favorite place to play is on her changing table right after she as gotten a new diaper.
Here is Arya at 2 months old, they were both almost the same height and weight at this age, Arya was just slightly bigger.

Open Gym

Today I took all the girls to preschool open gym. They had a blast! They got to jump on trampolines. They could run an a bouncy thing. They walked on the balance beam and swung on the rings. Their favorite thing was to jump in the foam pit over and over and over again. As we were leaving Arya asked when we could go back and play again. I think we are going to have her birthday party there.

Go Daddy Picnic

Today was Mike's company picnic at Kiwanis Park. Arya was very excited to go, not that she really knew what we were going to. She likes playing at the playground and playing the bean bag game with her daddy. It was a beautiful afternoon. I love spring time in Arizona, the weather is just perfect. Lyra just chilled in the stroller, sleeping and looking around.

Ostrich Festival Parade

We went to the Ostrich Festival Parade today. We told Arya that we'd be going before she went to bed. The first thing she said in the morning is, "are we going to the parade now?" It is a good thing the parade was in the morning. We got ready and were off. Arya was very excited about seeing the parade.
We had to wait a little while for the parade to reach us, we sat near the end. After a few minutes we could hear the parade coming.

Arya liked waving to all the people who were in the parade, most of them waved back. Next weekend we'll be going to the Ostrich Festival with Grandma, Grandpa and Meaghan.
