Lyra 2 Months Old!

Lyra is now 2 months old. She just gets cuter and cuter everyday. She is also getting very big! She weights 11lbs. 9oz. and is 23 1/2 inches long. She is very full of smiles these days. Her favorite place to play is on her changing table right after she as gotten a new diaper.
Here is Arya at 2 months old, they were both almost the same height and weight at this age, Arya was just slightly bigger.

Open Gym

Today I took all the girls to preschool open gym. They had a blast! They got to jump on trampolines. They could run an a bouncy thing. They walked on the balance beam and swung on the rings. Their favorite thing was to jump in the foam pit over and over and over again. As we were leaving Arya asked when we could go back and play again. I think we are going to have her birthday party there.

Go Daddy Picnic

Today was Mike's company picnic at Kiwanis Park. Arya was very excited to go, not that she really knew what we were going to. She likes playing at the playground and playing the bean bag game with her daddy. It was a beautiful afternoon. I love spring time in Arizona, the weather is just perfect. Lyra just chilled in the stroller, sleeping and looking around.

Ostrich Festival Parade

We went to the Ostrich Festival Parade today. We told Arya that we'd be going before she went to bed. The first thing she said in the morning is, "are we going to the parade now?" It is a good thing the parade was in the morning. We got ready and were off. Arya was very excited about seeing the parade.
We had to wait a little while for the parade to reach us, we sat near the end. After a few minutes we could hear the parade coming.

Arya liked waving to all the people who were in the parade, most of them waved back. Next weekend we'll be going to the Ostrich Festival with Grandma, Grandpa and Meaghan.

Lyra's first trip to the zoo

Today we took Lyra to the zoo for the first time. She loved it so much she slept pretty much the entire time, except when she needed to eat.
Arya also loved going. The first thing she said when she woke up this morning is, "Are we going to the zoo now?" She loves to see all the animals, especially the giraffes. They are always front and center when we visit. She also loves to pet the goats in the children's zoo.
Arya had to have a map when we got there so she could show us where to go and where we've been. It was also the first thing she showed her daddy when he came home from work.

What a pretty baby.

I know I am a little biased, but I think Lyra is such a pretty baby. She is also very sweet and good natured. Mike and I are very lucky!

They grow up so fast.

After having Lyra, Arya now seems so much bigger. She is not our little baby anymore. She is a big girl and she'll let you know it if you say other wise. We were at Olive Garden and a woman, said to her daughter, "there is another little Girl over there." and Arya comes back with, "I am not a little girl I am a big girl!"

She and Mike were out in the backyard recently and Mike took a picture of Arya similar to one we took when she was 4 months old. It seems like it was just yesterday. She is growing up way too fast.

1 Month Old

Lyra is now 1 month old. She is getting bigger, she is 22 inches long and she weighs 9 lbs 8 oz. She is a really good baby. She doesn't fuss too much, except when she has to get in her car seat. She is doing very good at night, she still wakes up every 3 hours to eat, but she goes right back to sleep when she is done. Arya likes having a baby sister and Arya can't wait for Lyra to play with her.

Why?

Arya has started the "why?" stage. Why does Lyra need to eat? Why do I have to take a nap? Why is daddy at work? Why do I have to wear pants? Why can't I have a lollipop for breakfast? Why am I a girl? ??? She doesn't stop. I must answer hundreds of questions a day! I just have one more, How long does this stage last?
